The X Crew put the boots to Warhead of Flannel & Fatigues in the quarterfinals of the tag team championship tournament.

MAWApalooza IV saw the crowning of its inaugural tag team champions in, Vinny the Fixxer and “Vicious” Ryan Vox, the X Crew. The night was dedicated to an eight team tag team tournament. The quarterfinals saw the X Crew upend Flannel & Fatigues (Jimmy Lyon and Warhead). Fan favorites Andy Header and the Cremator once again joined forces as Burning Rage to repel the invasion of the New Axis (Good News Hughes and Geoffrey Bravo) to advance. Mean Streak (“Evil” Eddie Hawkins and Justin Pusser) and the Party Rockers (And-D Bivians and Adam Chandler) brawled their way to a double count out, resulting in both teams’ dismissal from the tournament. Lastly, two surprise teams were announced for the last quarterfinal slot. Making his first appearance in a MAWA since losing the MAWA Heavyweight Title back in September of 2013, Jason Havok reemerged and teamed with “The Instigator” Troy Mest as part of “The Architect” David Gumaer’s Master Plan to take on the newly formed IIA (Irish Italian Americans), Joey Greco and Pat Shamrock! Despite pulling out every dirty trick in the book, Havok and the Instigator were eliminated. The double count out of both Mean Streak and the Party Rockers posed an interesting conundrum for Commissioner Drew Templar. Should the IIA get a bye into the finals since both their opponent teams were no longer part of the competition? In the interest of fairness, Commissioner Templar decided to forego the semifinal round and inserted all three remaining teams into a Three Way Dance Main Event. Vinny the Fixxer connected with a Clothesline from Camden on Andy Header to pick up the pin fall and eliminate Burning Rage from the bout. Then after an arduous back and forth match, as Pat Shamrock and Ryan Vox brawled on the outside, Joey Greco found himself on the receiving end of another Clothesline from Camden. Three seconds later, the X Crew was sporting the brand new MAWA Tag Team Title belts around their waists. Only time will tell how history views Fixxer and Vox as champions, but for now they are the cream of the tag team crop in the Mid Atlantic Wrestling Alliance.
